Christina Forrester – Executive Director/Founder
Christina Forrester is the Executive Director and Founder of Christian Democrats of America and has activism and being a voice for those without a voice in her genes. She is the granddaughter of pioneer evangelist and minister Mary Love Cornell, one of America’s first traveling female evangelists whose message was one of love, compassion, and social justice. She’s also the daughter of evangelical pastors who actively help feed, clothe, and assist in the many needs of thousands every year at their church in Arizona. With such a solid foundation of growing up in a ministry serving the poor and hurting, Christina, practically since she was able to walk and talk, has been involved in ministry.
She was a youth pastor and Christian concert event manager for three years, Praise and Worship Leader for ten years, a Deacon and Elder for a combined ten years– and that was all before the age of 25. After seeing the tremendous void in the public square of any type of community for Christians who were also Progressives or Democrats, Christina started Christian Democrats as a blog during the 2006 elections. Since then it has grown into a national movement giving Christian Democrats in America a national voice, where there was none. The movement has grown through Christina’s social media efforts, grassroots involvement in political campaigns and the “What Are Your Values?” campaign, which was inspired by Christina’s music video of a song she wrote by the same name. Her proprietary techniques are what made the social movement organization she founded a huge success, leading to a social media membership of over 50,000, a guest panelist invitation at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, an appearance on PBS, CNN Radio, Interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), Contributing writer for BlogHer, article on Politicus USA, European Documentary and the release of an upcoming book. She is also a contributing wrote for Huffington Post.
Christina is also a social media strategist and the CEO of KISS Social Media Marketing, and a singer/songwriter/musician. She spends her time between D.C., Nashville and Phoenix working on CDA, social media strategy for busineses, public figures, and more, and her first full length album, set to release May, 2016, and is the mother of her very spoiled Papillon and Pomeranian, Sadie and Zippy.
