We applaud the news that Republican Governor of Nevada, Brian Sandoval, has agreed to accept the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Medicaid expansion in his state. Several other GOP Governors have made the same move, of caring more about the citizens of their states than political bonus points from the Far Right.
Not taking the Medicaid expansion of the ACA is not only economically not a smart move, but is a blatant disregard for the needs of millions of residents of states like Texas, where thousands who now have no access to health care would have it under this plan.
We ask you to not only pray, but take a moment to email or call the governors of the states above who are vowing to NOT opt-in to the programs the ACA is offering, or leaning towards a no, and tell them this decision is not only bad for the economy, but against your values as an American, and as a Christian!
